Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) on Wednesday released the notification for Secondary Teacher Eligibility Test (STET) 2023. As per the notification published in various newspapers, the BSEB STET application registration process will start on 9 August 2023. Potential candidates willing to apply for STET can start their registration from 4:30 PM on the same day.
The official website for the registration process is bsebstet.com. The last date for submission of application for STET Bihar 2023 is August 23, 2023. BSEB STET 2023 exam is conducted for the recruitment of teachers at both secondary and higher secondary levels.
The exam will be divided into two papers: Paper 1 for Secondary Teachers and Paper 2 for Senior Secondary Teachers.

Bihar STET 2023 Registration Start
Candidates falling under different categories are required to pay separate application fee. For individuals belonging to General, Economically Weaker Section (EWS), Backward Class (BC), and Extremely Backward Class (EBC), the application fee is fixed at Rs 960 for Paper 1 and Rs 1,440 for Paper 2. Meanwhile, candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) categories will have to deposit Rs 760 for Paper 1 and Rs 1,140 for Paper 2.
The exam pattern for STET 2023 has been outlined with multiple choice questions, each carrying one mark. Notably, there will be no negative marking. The exam will be conducted in the form of Computer Based Test (CBT) and its duration will be 2.5 hours. BSEB STET Application Fee
General, EWS, OBC, and BC candidates who want to appear for one paper will have to pay ₹960 and candidates who want to appear for both papers will have to pay ₹1,440. For SC, ST, and PWD candidates, the fee is ₹760 for one paper and ₹1,140 for both papers.
Cut-off marks for Qualification
- General: 50 percent.
- BC: 45.5 percent.
- OBC: 42.5 percent.
- SC, ST, PwD, Women: 40 percent.
Bihar STET 2023 exam will be conducted as Computer Based Test (CBT) and the duration of the exam will be 150 minutes.
